Fire is the divine spark of God - a Gift of life and warmth,  inspiration and light.  An Elemental and deeply spiritual symbol, Fire purifies, cleanses and illuminates the darkness.  The dance of Fire is inspiration,  poetic and divine.  The arousal of inner fire ignites mystical passion,  kundalini energy, and is a metaphor for burning love and emotions.  Fire is a supernatural force,  which can blaze brightly with golden life, or devour, destroy and consume.  The rich ash of the burnt fields fertilizes the soil. Fire sparks the life within the seed to germination. Brigid, revered Christian Saint and Pagan Goddess of healing, poetry, smithcraft and prophecy is the Keeper of the Flame.  At her monastery in Kildare, the holy fire was guarded by women who each took a turn to feed the flame,  keeping an eternal fire in the spiritual hearth.
